The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1 is a versatile camera with a few shortcomings. I love that it shoots at true 16:9 aspect ratio and enjoy its excellent LCD and impressive battery life. But it’s pricey for a compact, the images are noisy, and there’s more pincushion distortion than I’d like, as well as noticeable shutter lag. I recommend this camera to those looking for pro features and controls in a camera smaller than a D-SLR.
