Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1 Review

B000A7XXUW.01-A228GNTXW0TH0L._SCLZZZZZZZ_V58700012_.jpgPCMag.com has posted a review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1.

From the article:

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1 is a versatile camera with a few shortcomings. I love that it shoots at true 16:9 aspect ratio and enjoy its excellent LCD and impressive battery life. But it’s pricey for a compact, the images are noisy, and there’s more pincushion distortion than I’d like, as well as noticeable shutter lag. I recommend this camera to those looking for pro features and controls in a camera smaller than a D-SLR.

Kodak EasyShare V570 Review

B000CD6B3A.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpgPC World has posted a review of the Kodak EasyShare V570 Digital Camera.

They have given it a “good” rating with a 70% score.

From the article:

The camera’s 2.5-inch LCD screen, which dominates the back, is clear and bright; with its 230,000 pixels, images look sharp. The camera’s controls reside around the screen, and are generally easily accessible. While most other cameras use a left-right control for zooming, the V570 uses an up-down control, which works well. It allows you to keep your thumb firmly on the camera for a tight grip–a good thing, since there is no grip on the front for your fingers. The smooth surface on the front and sides can mean a loose grip if your hands are damp.

Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z850 Review

B000EIZJF4.01.PT06._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpgDigitalCameraInfo.com has posted a review of the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z850.

This is a very high quality 8.1 megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom. The Super Bright 2.5 inch LCD is also very high quality that remains clear and bright even out doors in the sun.

This comes with the latest version of the Exilim engine. It has advanced anti-shake DSP. This camera is ready to take pictures within 1 second after its turned on.

From the review:

For a camera this small, the Casio EX-Z850 certainly packs in everything but the kitchen sink. Starting with the powerful 8 MP sensor and going to the superb battery life which is rated at 440 shots, there’s a lot under the hood of this petite, all-metal point-and-shooter. Best of all, there are manual control options for more experienced photographers, including aperture and shutter priority AE and manual white balance. Those who like to let the camera do all the work can pick one of 34 of the Z850’s Best Shot modes, including 9 more in the camera’s Best Shot video mode.

Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z850 Review

B000EIZJF4.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

The reviewers at Digitalcamerainfo.com have posted their first impressions of the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z850 Digital Camera

This Camera features an 8.0 megapixel sensor that is great for prints of size 18 by 22 inches. This camera also has a 3X zoom. The LCD display is 2.5 inches and features Casio’s Super Bright technology.

Each charge allows this camera to take ~440 images due to the Super Life Battery.

From the Article:

For a camera this small, the Casio EX-Z850 certainly packs in everything but the kitchen sink. Starting with the powerful 8 MP sensor and going to the superb battery life which is rated at 440 shots, there’s a lot under the hood of this petite, all-metal point-and-shooter. Best of all, there are manual control options for more experienced photographers, including aperture and shutter priority AE and manual white balance.

On the downside, the LCD’s resolution is far too low to be able to check 8 MP images for quality. There are also a couple of gimmicky options such as the eBay Best Shot mode, which seems more of a marketing maneuver than anything else.

Olympus Stylus 600 Review

B000A7B9XK.01.PT03._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpgCameras UK have posted a Olympus Stylus 600 Review.

The Olympus Stylus 600 features a 6.0 megapixel CCD Sensor and is capable of 3x optical zoom.

The LCD is a large 2.5 inch screen with Bright Capture Technology.

This camera brags the capability of being able to weather all the elements meaning that it is water, dust and snow resistant.

The review says:

The Olympus MJU has proved to be a big disappointment. Having reviewed a number of other cameras in this series this has come as quite a surprise to me. Having tried with two different cameras and a range of different camera setting I have been unable to produce sharply focused photos.

The reviewer says that the image quality is not good and internal memory is very less.

The LCD screen and the design is nice though.

Nikon Coolpix P1 Review

ByteSector has posted a review of the Coolpix P1 by Nikon. They have given it a 3/5 rating which is slightly disappointing.

Nikon Coolpix P1

Here is an excerpt from the review:

The overall image quality is slightly above average in most situations, but suffers indoors. The Wi-Fi feature is a fantastic little addition despite the fact that it’s pretty slow and drains the battery—but it has some uses. The P1 is a good camera, but it’s nothing absolutely spectacular. There are more versatile units on the market that would be worth looking into if you don’t mind going without Wi-Fi capability.

Casio Exilim EX-Z600 First Impressions Review

The writers of DigitalCameraInfo.com have posted their review of the Exilim EX-Z600. This “first impressions” review does not contain all the details one would expect from a full review. DigitalCameraInfo will post a much more detailed review soon.

The EX-Z600 separates itself from the crowd with its wealth of preset modes and in-camera editing features with clear interfaces and full text descriptions. With these preset options, manual settings and a good movie mode, the Casio EX-Z600 should give competing manufacturers a run for the money at this price point.

The admirable features include: the movie mode; bright LCD; well organized menu structure. The features that could use some work include: low resolution; undersized controls.
